Supporting those living with dementia

Whether you have had a diagnosis of dementia, or are taking care of someone with the illness so that they can continue to live at home - we can help

Come and take a look at what we do…!

Our Purpose

The purpose of The Hunter Centre is to improve the quality of life for those living with all forms of dementia.

We do this in a number of ways:

  • Through our safe and welcoming Day Care Centre in Haslemere we provide care, companionship and stimulation for people living with a dementia diagnosis. The variety of activities we undertake are aimed at improving the health and well-being of our clients, reducing their social isolation and loneliness and contributing to their physical as well as mental health.

  • We support families and those looking after someone with dementia, whose lives change too as a result of the illness. As well as giving them some care respite with peace of mind, we run an informal Carer Support Group, the Welcome Club, where they can chat to others in a similar position and have access to legal and dementia care professionals.

  • We aim to provide a useful source of information and advice on looking after someone with dementia. Our highly trained staff have years of experience in dementia care and are always happy to offer support.
