Our families and carers’ support group gets together every Tuesday from 1.30 to 3.30pm. It is open to all so please feel free to come along

Charlotte Pragnell, Reflexologist.

Charlotte visits The Welcome Club and the day centre every couple of months. She offers the clients and the carers Functional Reflex Therapy

Functional Reflex Therapy known as FRT was established by Lorraine Senior, an experienced teacher working with children with special educational needs and a Reflexologist.

It offers a unique rainbow relaxation routine, by inducing calmness on the hands or feet for children and adults with high levels of anxiety, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, neurological impairment and complex needs  including those living with Dementia. This short routine supports with a reduction in agitation/anxiety for the above individuals.

West Dean Gardens, Chichester

We all enjoyed a lovely afternoon at West Dean Gardens near Chichester.

Sue, one of the Welcome club volunteers, also volunteers at the gardens and suggested we’d enjoy a visit there….she wasn’t wrong.

At the end of the visit, tea and cake from the restaurant was in order.

Visit to RHS Wisley

23rd July 2024

The Welcome Club - Carers Support group enjoyed a day out at RHS Wisley.

Although it was a little overcast, its was still a lovely warm day. The gardens were absolutely beautiful.

Carers’ outing to The Phoenix Theatre, Bordon - 7th November 2023

A group of family carers from our Welcome Club enjoyed a trip to see the recently released film ‘The unlikely pilgrimage of Harold Fry’. It’s a heart warming story with a few tears and laughs along the way and wonderful performances from Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton. 

Visit to The Rural Life Museum, Tilford – 29th August 2023

On 29th August, The Welcome Club enjoyed a lovely day out at The Rural Life Museum, Tilford.

The sun stayed out for them, and they were lucky enough to see a wedding taking place.
